Camera Club in Dorking
14 September

It was hard to believe it was Camera Club day because the sun was shining!
We can usually guarantee a dull day for our trips out.

We met in the churchyard of St Martin's in Dorking. We planned to take pictures
of the town, but were firstly waylaid by a holly bush covered with shiny berries.

Don't be surprised if you get home made Christmas cards this year!

We went inside the church and were enchanted by the sunlight coming through the stained glass windows.

The organ pipes were beautifully painted.

We eventually set off through the back streets of the town.

Out in West Street the traffic was nose to tail.
.

We enjoyed window shopping in the many antique shops but we ventured inside
a wonderful wool shop called FLUFF-A-TORIUM and described as
Dorking's Fluffy Wool and Craft Shop.

The colours were a feast for the eye.

We enjoyed the beauty of the huge Victorian church, we discovered parts of the town we didn't know existed,
and we were nearly inspired to start knitting again!  A good visit.
On the way home we had tea at Denbies Vineyard.
