Eastwick WI

Christmas meeting

We didn't need Bing Crosby to tell us it was beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
The hall was decked with holly, balloons and Christmas trees and we were greeted with a glass of wine.

We had a label stuck on our back and had to guess who we were.
We had to vote on a selection of Limericks.
We had to distribute our Christmas cards.
So there was lots of socialising and milling about.

Eventually we found a table and settled down to play a variety of games and listen to stories and verses.

Ann Renn wrote this Limerick which sums up Eastwick WI so well!

A WI lady from Eastwick
Said "My WI life is fantastic.
I do crafts, go for walks,
 play Mah-jong and hear talks,
and the puddings are really terrific!"

We enjoyed coffee and mince pies and we sang carols and Christmas songs.
It was a good break from our Christmas preparations
and we all went home full of the good cheer of WI friendship
