Eastwick WI

 Frequently Asked Questions

What do we do?
You can read all about us on this website - we don't think we've left anything out! We have a monthly meeting where we all get together for a speaker or a demonstration and to hear all about the arrangements for all the other things that are happening.

How do I join?
Come along to a meeting and introduce yourself at the 'registration' desk at the entrance. If you have come alone you will be introduced to a member who will look after you during the evening. If you like what you see, you can ask for your name to go on the waiting list. We are sorry - we cannot tell you how long you will have to wait - it all depends . . . . . . .
If you are transferring from a WI from outside the area because you have moved, you will jump the waiting list.

How much is membership?
The subscription for 2012 will be £31.50 and for this you get a national magazine eight times a year and at least eleven meetings. Part of the subscription goes towards funding WI activities in Surrey and nationally.

Can I belong to more than one WI?
Yes, you can!  You can become a 'dual member'. At your first WI you pay the full £31.50 and take a full part in all decisions, votes etc. In your second WI you pay a reduced subscription, £13.80 and at this WI you may not vote on Surrey Federation or National issues.

Do we have any connection with "The Witches of Eastwick?
Emphatically no! But as you can imagine we do get lots of comments!

I have another question!
